Who is this course for?
All employees who need to update their knowledge and understanding about the effects and risks of drugs and the impact of drugs on the workplace. It can be used as part of an organisation’s health and wellbeing programme.

Aims of the Course.

The course will examine the different reasons people take drugs, and the impacts of drug and alcohol misuse on an individual, their family and the workplace.

It will help you to understand the legislation that protects the health, wellbeing and safety of employees and how this relates to drug and alcohol misuse.
There is access to resources for further information, support and awareness about drug and alcohol misuse.

Aims of the course

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

  • Describe the different reasons why people take drugs, and the impacts of drug and alcohol misuse
  • Understand the legislation that protects the health and safety of employees and how this relates to drug and alcohol misuse
  • Explain alcohol misuse in the context of the workplace
  • Know where to get information and support
